Hydrostatic Pressure Generator Device (U.S. Pat. No. 9,303,244)
Methods and device of using hydrostatic pressure in a process(Pat. Pend.)
Hydrostatic Pressure Generator (HPG) is a portable device including a pressure generating assembly and a fluid-filled chamber receiving samples for the purpose of treatment with hydrostatic pressure (Fig. 1).
HPG can be hand-operated without using any electronics and motors; simply by placing a sample in the chamber, filling the chamber with a fluid (Fig.1A); connecting the pressure generating assembly; and turning its actuator to generate pressure in the chamber (Fig.1B).
HPG can generate pressures up to at least 15-18 MPa, which is expected to be high enough to perform most of processes in an effective manner.
Potential applications, including:
- A system for facilitating fluid passage through a permeable material;
such as;
- A Hydrostatic Pressure Stimulation Bioreactor
such as;
- Testing pressure activated chemicals/materieals/sensors
HPG Features
HPG Size
HPG chamber can be made having a small or a large volume;
for example, 1 cm3 or 400 cm3.
